Social Media Redesign
Was tasked with redesigning the UI of the rapidly-growing social media platform widely used in over 180 universities in the country known as “Fizz”.
Not only, is this a mockup of my reimagined Fizz interface and universal color palette, but I also introduced the prospect of two new additional features that could possibly be implemented within the app: a custom tag for post related to those promoting student projects and looking to join them, as well as a new post design for a Job search section of the app. This Job section would provide students with an easy way to find on/off campus jobs, and give employers a straightforward entry to the student population.

Extreme redesign of the UI: dramatic color usage, complex comment section/post relationship, new layouts
Final product: New universal color palette and post interface, Job and Project search features fully implemented
Canvacarry
During the spring of 2023, we were tasked with creating a solution/product for a problem specific to our lives. After brainstorming a list of 50 unique issues, we continually narrowed down our lists until we reached a final solution, and began the prototyping process. The issue I sought out to fix was to help people face the difficult of transporting large canvases. As a painter, I have encountered my fair share of inconveniences with storing and carrying large/wet canvases, and thus the solution: Canvacarry
Canvacarry is an easy-to-use tool to help anyone to carry, move, and store canvases easier. The adjustable, extendable bar contains groves to prevent unwanted retraction and allows you to fit it into any canvas of any size. With its two attachable components, users can hold the canvas more comfortably with the handle, or store the canvas on its wheels, with no corner or side of the canvas touching the floor.

How it’s made
After brainstorming and wire-framing, series of sketches followed before the physical prototyping took form. Using foamcore, rubber bands, and hot glue, I made these prototypes for the adjustable bar, the handle, and the rolling/storage attachment.
Make a Note
Take a Note
Tasked with the assignment of creating a product for public good, and only a small stand to show it to a gallery, my partner and I made our stand the product for community building: Make a Note, Take a Note.
This social experiment prompts passerby’s to write a brief note for a future reader, categorize it, and take a note from that same category written by someone in the past. This anonymous, yet intimate, setting allowed for personal gifts and messages to be given between strangers, one of the most pure forms of community building.
Results of the experiment: An astounding success. The stack of notes and envelopes were depleted by the end of the testing week. Multiple users had commented on the craftsmanship and attraction of the prototype. Issues form when multiple notes were incorrectly placed in the same pocket, which signifies the need for clearer instructions or more labels/instructional text.

Video Essays
Participated in a class revolving around the creation of video essays and the art behind storytelling through the means of video and sound. I made three video essays for the class, ranging in style, length, subject, and style. Posted here is my second video essay, a commentary on the overuse and overstimulation of screens with the advancement of technology.
